Fighting anti-LGTBIQ Rethoric from the Sciences

Jara Juana Bermejo-Vega
June 29th, 2021 ICONS

The LGTBIQ community is experiencing times of vulnerability because of a recent rise of queerphobic hate speech. In this talk, we will discuss existing tools to promote diversity and inclusion and how we can use to fight hate-speech. We will present concrete strategies that have been tested in the field of quantum information to build inclusive and safe networks for marginalized groups in science and society. We will also discuss quantitative scientific strategies we can use to combat hate speech and build interdisciplinary alliances.
